VOROKLINI IS ENTERING A RECYCLING PROGRAM

The Community Council informs its citizens that an agreement has been reached with the company Green-Dot Cyprus for inclusion of our Community in a comprehensive recycling program which will begin in September 14, 2021.

The collection of materials to be recycled will be carried out on a door-to-door basis every Tuesday starting from 06.00 in the morning.

The categories of materials that will be received are PMD, Paper and Glass. PMD and Paper items must be placed in the special transparent or brown bags before they are placed on the sidewalk of the house for collection by GreenDot.  While for glass items, special bell-shaped bins will be placed in different parts of the Community.  You will be notified of to their locations.

PMD materials in transparent bags:  plastic bottles, containers, metal packages, Tetra Pak packages  (NOT plastic toys, plastic chairs, plastic glasses/plates polystyrene)

Paper in brown bags:  dry cartons, newspapers, magazines, books, advertisements   (NOT napkins, toilet paper, juice packaging)

Glass in special bins:  glass jugs, food jars  (NOT glass, cups, lamps, porcelain dishes and glassware)

In case of commercial premises / apartment buildings, you should have direct contact with the Green-Dot Cyprus at 70 000 090.  If you meet certain criteria, you will be provided with a special bin for 1,100 liters.

The Community Council will supply you free of charge with 2 rolls of bags (1 transparent bag for PMD items, and 1 brown bag for paper items).  Free bags will be given only once.  After that, it will be your responsibility to purchase these bags at supermarkets.

The Community Council looks forward to your cooperation in maintaining a respectable image in our Community, but also in helping us protect the environment through recycling.
